Clear, upfront, and no surprises

Not knowing the cost of treatment and the funding options available can be a barrier to reaching out. Below is a clear breakdown of session fees, rebates you may be eligible for, and fully funded options available for DVA, Open Arms, BUPA-ADF, Workers’ Compensation, and WA Police Force members.

Initial Consult

A 60 minute session to understand your history and goals, and to plan the way forward together. No additional fee charged for a first session.

Medicare

subsequent consults

$290

Ongoing 60 minute individual therapy sessions, in person or via telehealth. No surcharge for weekends or evening appts. Extended sessions available for an additional time-based rate.

Private Health

Fully funded consults

$0

The funding agency is invoiced directly so no out of pocket fees – DVA, Open Arms, BUPA-ADF, Workers’ Compensation, WA Police Force.

For those paying full fee Payment is required at the time of your in person sessions and prior to the session if via Teleheath.

Rebate optionS

Rebates Available

You may be eligible to claim a rebate for your session fees through Medicare or your private health fund. Check your eligibility with you GP or your fund.

Medicare

Rebates available if you have a valid referral from your GP and they have prepared a Mental Health Treatment Plan. This entitles you to a rebate of $149.05 per session, for up to 10 sessions a calendar year.

Private Health

Rebates for psychology may be available from your health fund depending on your policy type. Amounts vary based on your individual fund and policy type. Check with your fund to find out more.

You may be eligible for no cost sessions through your organisation or worker’s compensation scheme

open Arms

No cost sessions available with a referral from Open Arms for Defence family members . Contact Open Arms to check your eligibility.

DVA

No cost mental health care services available with a valid DVA Allied Health Treatment referral from your GP with a White or Gold card

Workers' Comp

No gap services available if you have an accepted workers’ compensation claim and psychology has been approved

WA Police Force

I’m a preferred provider for the WA Police Force. A referral from the Psychology Unit is required to access fully funded sessions

Before Your First Session

Getting your referral and rebate sorted

A few things arranged in advance mean nothing gets in the way of your first appointment.

Obtain Your Referral

See your GP and ask for a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral to claim a Medicare rebate
Veterans require a valid DVA referral letter, or a D904 referral form for an Allied Health Treatment cycle.
For WA Police Officers, current serving ADF, or Defence family members, contact your relevant organisation and request a referral.
If seeking treatment via workers’ compensation, request approval from your case manager.

Send us the referral

Prior to your first session, email or upload your referral letter or form so we can check it is valid
If sessions have been approved by your workers’ compensation case manager, ask them to email the approval.
For sessions approved by WA Police Force, BUPA-ADF, or Open Arms they will send the referral to us.
If we don’t not receive a valid referral, we can’t claim on your behalf so you will be required to pay the full session fee.

Cancellation policy

We required at least 48 hours' notice to change or cancel an appointment.
Late cancellations or missed sessions will incur the full session fee as this time is reserved exclusively for you.
Funding schemes do not pay for missed appointments or late cancellations, you will be required to pay their scheduled rate.
If you can't make it to the office in time you can request a Telehealth session via video or phone.
